Did you know as you read this, light is striking the cis-retinal in your rods and cones, changing it to trans-retinal and thereby activating transducin, which activates phosphodiesterase, which something-something??!  And as you scroll down with your mouse, the myosin heads of your muscle fibers are cocking?? Fuck yeah, biology. (youmightfindyourself: Frank Chimero) One of my favourite phrases I learnt in physiology was “dark current”.
